Ways to Begin

Families come to Wildwood with different questions. Some need a place to start, while others are ready for a deeper evaluation or ongoing therapy. Together, we will choose the smallest useful next step.

OT Consultation & Observation

For families who know something is hard but are not yet sure what kind of support their child needs. During this child-and-caregiver visit, we will discuss your concerns, observe your child through play and movement, and consider how sensory processing, regulation, motor planning, body awareness, and the environment may be affecting everyday participation. You will leave with initial impressions, practical recommendations, and guidance about possible next steps.

Comprehensive OT Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation offers a deeper, individualized understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges, sensory-motor profile, and participation in everyday life. The process is shaped around your family’s questions and results in individualized recommendations, a written report, and a parent feedback meeting.

An evaluation may include:

  • Caregiver interview and occupational profile

  • Parent questionnaires, such as the SPM-2

  • Sensory-motor play and clinical observation

  • Selected standardized assessments, including selected EASI measures when clinically appropriate

  • Exploration of postural control, praxis, bilateral integration, body awareness, and regulation

  • Consideration of participation across home, school, play, self-care, and community routines

Most comprehensive evaluations total $750–$950 · billed in stages

Evaluation visits are $200 each, usually completed across two to three appointments. Scoring, interpretation, the comprehensive written report, and the parent feedback meeting are $350. Before beginning, we will discuss the likely scope and estimated total based on your child’s needs.

Ongoing Pediatric OT

Neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy grounded in meaningful play, movement, relationship, and the natural world. Sessions are shaped around each child’s goals and may include sensory-motor experiences, suspended movement, climbing, motor-planning challenges, outdoor exploration, support for daily routines, and collaboration with caregivers. As Wildwood grows, sessions will be able to move between indoor and outdoor environments according to each child’s needs.

Payment & Insurance

Wildwood is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. We discuss fees and service options clearly before scheduling so families can choose the level of support that best fits their needs.

A comprehensive evaluation is not required for every family. We may recommend beginning with a consultation when that is the most appropriate next step.
